My name is Krystal and I am 15 and I live in Maryland. I was 10 years old when I got sick and 14 years old when I was diagnosed with POTS. Many things have been taken away from me in the past four years including the ability to go to school, some of my friends, and even part of my life.

     At first, many doctors would say I was having panic and stress attacks or they would say there was nothing wrong with me. Then I found a doctor, Dr. Moak, who ran some tests on me and diagnosed me with POTS. He put me on some medications and I'm slowly getting my life back. Don't get me wrong though, I still have my good and bad days. But, I'm learning to cope with it and the experiences have made me a stronger person.

     I have just recently found DYNA and I am making new friends though that too. It's nice to know that I am not alone in dealing with this.

     I remember one thing I always wanted since I got sick and that's to be "normal". But then again, what is normal? I believe we're all normal in our own way. We just need to stay positive and believe in ourselves - always.
